Gourmet Burger Kitchen has been rescued from administration by food industry mogul Ranjit Singh Boparan, securing over 660 jobs in the process.
Later that month, Gourmet Burger Kitchen revealed plans to close 17 restaurants. In October 2020, it was announced that Ranjit Singh Boparan had acquired the company from administration. However, as part of the agreement, 26 restaurants would stay closed, resulting in the loss of 362 jobs, while 35 locations would continue operating.
Featuring high-quality ingredients, the six new burgers include the Gourmet Angus Truffle and Cheese, Gourmet Angus Cheeseburger, Gourmet Homestyle Angus, Gourmet Chicken Caesar, Gourmet Classic Chicken, and Gourmet Classic Angus. Additionally, a Gourmet Grilled Chicken Salad is available as part of the selection.
